The Dual Blessing of El Elyon - Victory and Revelation
The Dual Blessing of El Elyon - Victory and Revelation
Scripture Focus: Genesis 14:18-20 (KJV)
“18. And Melchizedek king of Salem brought forth bread and wine: and he was the priest of the most high God. 19. And he blessed him, and said, Blessed be Abram of the most high God, possessor of heaven and earth: 20. And blessed be the most high God, which hath delivered thine enemies into thy hand. And he gave him tithes of all.”
When the Battle Leads to the Blessing
Many believers love the promises of God but often overlook the process that precedes them. The story of Abram’s victory in Genesis 14 reminds us that God’s promises do not eliminate battles—they guarantee victory when we fight according to divine instruction.
The God we serve is El Elyon—The Most High God, the One who rules above every circumstance, challenge, setback, and opposition. He is not intimidated by what you’re facing today. In fact, your current battle may be the very place where God reveals Himself to you in a deeper way.
Every problem is an opportunity for God to release a strategy.
Give your problems to God, and He will give you the strategy to solve the problem in your favor.
The Strategy of Abram’s 318
When Abram learned that Lot had been taken captive, he did not panic. He pursued God’s purpose with wisdom and determination.
Genesis 14:14 tells us Abram armed his 318 trained servants and pursued the enemy.
His strategy teaches us valuable lessons:
1. Trained Servants — Preparation Before Battle
* Abram’s servants were already trained before the crisis arrived.
* Victory is often determined before the battle begins.
* As believers, we must prepare diligently through prayer, studying God’s Word, exercising our faith, and developing discipline in every area of life.
* The believer who combines faith with preparation becomes unstoppable.
2. A Clear Target — He Knew What Needed to Be Recovered
* Abram knew exactly what he was fighting for.
* Too many believers fight without focus.
* When God gives you a promise, identify what He has called you to recover—your peace, your health, your family, your purpose, your joy, or your faith.
3. Pursuit — He Refused to Quit
* Abram pursued the enemy relentlessly.
* Faith does not quit when obstacles appear.
* Sometimes the difference between victory and defeat is simply the willingness to keep moving forward when others stop.
4. Night Warfare — He Fought When Others Rested
* Abram attacked at night.
* God is raising believers who know how to win in the dark seasons of life.
* You can win in the night seasons of your life.
* When life feels uncertain, lonely, painful, or difficult, God is still working. The darkness does not cancel His promises.
5. Divine Assistance — God Empowered the Victory
Abram’s success was not merely the result of military skill.
The victory came because God delivered the enemy into his hand.
There are battles that strategy alone cannot win. We need the power and favor of El Elyon working on our behalf.
Your Health Is Your Wealth

Your Ear Gate and Your Mouth Gate Must Agree
What you hear consistently will eventually influence what you say.
What you say repeatedly will eventually shape what you believe.
Your ear gate needs to hear what your mouth gate is saying.
Fill your ears with God’s promises and let your mouth agree with His Word.
Declare victory even while you’re walking through the battle.
Declare healing while you’re recovering.
Declare provision while you’re waiting.
Declare hope while you’re believing.
After the Battle Came the Blessing
After Abram recovered everything, he encountered Melchizedek, the priest of El Elyon.
This is where the story becomes powerful.
After the battle came blessing.
Dual Blessing #1: Victory Over the Enemy
* Everything stolen was recovered.
* Nothing was lost.
* God specializes in restoration.
* What the enemy intended to take permanently, God can restore completely.
Dual Blessing #2: Revelation of the Blesser
Abram encountered El Elyon at a deeper level.
The battle introduced him to a greater revelation of God.
Many people seek the blessing.
Few pursue the Blesser.
When you know El Elyon, every battle becomes an opportunity for greater revelation and greater reward.
The greatest blessing is not what God puts in your hand.
The greatest blessing is knowing who He is.
